Saed Younis
While still at MIT Saed worked at IBM T.J. Watson Research Lab and later was a founding team member of EXA Corp. in 1991, currently listed in NASDAQ.
Saed Joined QUALCOMM in 1994 and after years of engaging in wireless systems development, Saed led the development of outdoor position location technology for mobile phones in 2000.
Saed also served as VP of Business Development for QUALCOMM during 2001-2003 and was directly involved in negotiating setting up a CDMA nationwide carrier in a foreign market.
Saed founded ALBAHITH Co. (Branded as Younivate) in Jordan during 2004-2010. Younivate was a QUALCOMM licensee developing CDMA data modems using QUALCOMM ASIC's. Younivate was successful in navigating the development and productization cycle of mobile devices in a green field environment with global clients and global supply chain.
Saed's familiarity with the mobile industry's ecosystem, serving one time as ASIC developer and another as mobile device manufacturer CEO, makes him very attuned to the technical and business needs and concerns of the stakeholders connected to the proposed solution. Such stakeholders include mobile manufacturers, mobile ASIC manufacturers, mobile carriers, major internet players, and facility managers.
Saed obtained his degrees from MIT, BS 86', MS 90', PhD 94' and is currently the President of the MIT Club of San Diego. Saed is active in STEM outreach efforts within local schools. Saed has 23 patents.
